Democrats appear to be seizing the opportunity provided by MAGA Mike Johnson's Pre-Midterm-Election Recess, as an opportunity to exposé. conduct, and expose the actions of this rogue regime for exactly what they've been, what they are, and where they are headed: pure and simple, unchecked and unfettered corruption.

While JD Vance may be calling on the American public to "please, give us another chance", that "in just less than two short years, we've brought never-before-seen wealth and prosperity to Americans", and/or "we've gotten so much accomplished, but there's still so many more promises for the American people we are looking to act on" - one detail remains the same: while Americans are hurting financially, we're experiencing by far one of the worst job economies in our country's history, and we've got an out-of-control administration that has done absolutely nothing of substantiative value to keep costs down for consumers, gutted SNAP and healthcare protections for the most vulnerable among us, and even MAGA Mike Johnson has already declared that if Republicans win the mid-terms they will gut Social Security and Medicaid/Medicare Entitlement programs, while crying afoul that "God forbid that Democrats win the mid-terms, they will investigate Trump, his administration, allies and half of you in this room. Don't worry though, because I'm running a protection program."

Simultaneous to this, it has been reported that Trump has stated in private meetings that "we must cheat like hell to win". Likely, this is due to rather overt outward leanings of priming/choreographing, or even announcing to the public - in dictator/authoritarian/kleptocrat/oligarch-fashion - that they intend on never letting go of power, and simultaneously, MAGA Mike Johnson and other MAGA-loyalists (which is a majority of Republican congressionals): are not letting this "rare opportunity" go to waste, as they intend on shaping public, social, societal, and political discourse in America, not for just a term - let alone a generation: no, they are gaming it out for the next 100 years. When you combine this, against the various stratagems, gambits, and abuses of power and corruption - unchecked and unfettered and unabashed (these past 21 months) - and combined with desperation (given SCOTUS failed to support weaponization of USPS to undermine mail in voting): they recognize they now have a problem on their hands.

To make matters worse: we've been witnessing a president and an administration and weaponized neutral bodies of government, that have been captured by sycophants and Trump-supporters at their helm. We've likewise witnessed what is arguably and demonstrably, an illegal war - unsanctioned by congress, we've witnessed this administration's willingness to upset the balances of power and subvert the will of the people and the law - repeatedly, a SCOTUS that has to some variable degree - enabled all of this - by granting the president absolute power and immunity (the president in turn already afforded the ability to pardon others), and lest we forget - a legacy media and to variable degree Democratic leadership - all of which whom have demonstrated capitulation, ignoring their duties, continual unilateral over-reaches of power, various violations to the constitution, and since Jan 2026 to present: arguably the mask of a class of political affiliation that is so certain about clinching a win (through any and all means necessary - including cheating - if necessary) in these 2026-midterms, that they have demonstrated a level of hubris and ignorance and over-reaches of power and failure to meet everyday's American's needs (by instead resorting to gaslighting): that by the time they round out this last lap from 2025-2027, they recognize an undeniable trend has been established. Republicans and Trumpism, has never before been less popular, never before been less credible, and that true rifts and fractures within the MAGA base have arisen - while a "blue tsunami" coalition and negative sentiment surrounding this president and administration, has built up and was evident from these run-up elections.

Moreover, if sentiment polling is any indication: it seems apparent that Democrats actually possess a strong chance of not only taking back the House, but potentially the Senate as well. In terms of whether a super-majority of both chambers - is possible - has yet to be seen/realized. However, one thing is for certain: what we're seeing unfold before us, is what happens when leadership underestimates the ability for public sentiment to shape public and political discourse. Assuredly, many Americans were bothered by seeing their fellow men/woman, murdered on the street - by a paramilitary Gustapo puppets, weaponization of government, unprovoked wars and unilateral efforts of this administration to bypass the constitution, not to mention ongoing claims of how much America is thriving - when 47% of mortgages resulted in foreclosure last year. Again, let that number sink in... as a majority of Americans cannot afford healthcare, let alone car insurance, gas, housing, and food. Yet, a government that prioritizes the militarization of states and weaponization of the surveillance state, denying state's their rights of autonomy (afforded under the constitution to set the time/manner/place of elections), constantly threatens their constituents, and the Iran conflict - further contributes towards a greater degree (or worsening) affordability crisis. It begins to beg the question: how much longer can everyday Americans endure through all of this? When the president and his administration are hellbent on blowing up little girls' schools in Iran, invading Venezuela and kidnapping/abducting a sovereign leader and subjecting that leader to our laws, and committing warcrimes - and our president being wanted by the International Criminal Court (formerly Nuremberg trials), for his threats of dispatching Iran, 90M, in a nuclear holocaust?

You know, quite obviously, things have gotten this bad - when you see the most unexpected faces becoming outspoken opponents to Trump and his current administration's efforts; certainly, I never would have imagined Alex Jones - of all people - to ever exhaust all spin and angles afforded to him, that he must now challenge Trump and his actions.

To wrap this post up, let me close by saying: America has laws, principles, and founding that many would have lead us to believe that our culture (and one would presume, leadership) that would outright reject fascism. We experienced the red-scare, coming out of WWII. If anything, we were hyper-vigilant for years, and if anything - it was a sensitive subject, if not triggered what some might have considered "over-compensation". I only speak for myself, but certainly, growing up in America as a kid in the late 80s and 90s - I would have never imagined our country would have transformed and developed such an antithetical approach to our values, the way we have. Integrity, honesty, principles and honoring our steadfast commitment to democratic values and interests in maintaining our influence over this world, requires a responsibility to ourselves, our country, the constitution and one another. As soon as we begin to trivialize the truth, attack our allies, abandon our citizens, or engage outside of these checks and balances - we're at risk of losing our democracy. The goal here is not to fear-monger, or come across melodramatic or hyperbolic... but that is to say: our actions, morals, values, and honoring our commitments - matter; it's what rendered America the "beacon of hope, atop a hill" for so many subjugated peoples of this world. "Give us your weary, give us your sick" and those whole set of tenants, in which America was founded. Coming out of WWII, where our forefather's put their lives on the line, for our freedoms and ways of life... to see all of it handled, so haphazardly, so unsancitmonously and so incredulously - combined with a silent resolve of "this is the new normal", makes a lot of people wonder what our country worked so consistently and earnestly to protect - if we're willing to throw it away, to enrich the lives of the very few? Are we really absent of those morals? Or are we simply being lead astray, by a select few of in-bad-faith actors, while being gaslit that these are examples of "Making America Great Again?"

"War is without sin, save that which makes us fight and die in battles that older men begin." As Americans, we all have a role to play in our oaths and adherence to the constitution and loyalty to our country. Let us hope it's not too late to save our democracy/republic of freedom, justice, truth, and justice - and to remain that symbol of hope not only for other countries, but likewise embody it as a symbol of hope, for our own people. Only time will tell, based upon the lead-up to these mid-terms, elections day, and the events that follow. I pray, that it's one that upholds and honors America's founding and honors the underpinning principles, of what has made America as well loved and sought after as a country and that we can restore and renew not only that symbolism, but that way of life for our people and way of life - because, right now: America is hurting.
