DISCLOSE Act Passes House of Representatives 219-206 (2010-06-24)

The House passed H.R. 5175, the DISCLOSE Act, with amendments on a largely party-line vote of 219-206. The bill was the first legislative attempt to counter the effects of the Citizens United v. FEC ruling by requiring organizations spending money on elections to disclose their donors. The Senate companion bill faced a Republican filibuster.
