What is Kronology?
Kronology is UnderKurrent's visual timeline of events. It's a horizontal, scrollable timeline spanning from 2015 to the present, where events are plotted as colored dots that you can explore.
How It Works
Each event on the timeline appears as a dot positioned by its date. The dot color matches the event's primary category. You can:
- Hover over any dot to see a tooltip with the event title and date
- Click a dot to expand a detail card with the full description, categories, and source links
- Filter by category using the colored filter pills at the top
Source Links
Events can include sources from:
- Articles (globe icon)
- YouTube videos (play icon)
- X/Twitter posts
- Bluesky posts
- Mastodon posts
- Other links
Reporting Events
Any authenticated user can report an event. Staff-published events go live immediately; others are reviewed before appearing. This ensures the timeline remains accurate and well-sourced.
Kronology is our answer to the fragmented news landscape -- a single place to see how events connect across time and categories.
