In January, in an interview with Reuters:

Earlier this year, SCOTUS arbitrarily struck down the 1971 Voting Rights Act, last year claimed they would engage in mid-decade redistricting (outside of next census occurring in 2030), as well enforce/encourage passing of the "SAVE (America) Act", which is much more interested in disenfranchising legitimate voters (and suppression of the vote, subverting the will of the People), than it does purportedly solve their unfounded concerns regarding "rampant" (or inferred: ubiquitous) illegal voting, fraudulent voting, or claims that foreign advisaries interfere in our elections. On that topic, Trump has squarely stated "If it wasn't for Elon, I wouldn't have won the election... Elon knows all about those election computers!" Outside of the aforementioned points, the weaponized federal government apparatus (under direct control of the Trump regime) has repeatedly assailed states' individual autonomy to perform elections, how they see fit (a right enshrined into the constitution; the same constitution the WH has placed a curtain over and removed from the government's websites. Simultaneously, this regime has both unfoundedly and illegally seized ballots and subsequently successfully voter rolls, in 4/5 states; the state they were unsuccessful in obtaining the 2020 ballots from was Minnesota - who Trump-regime blackmailed and sunk ICE agents upon, to mount pressure for their release - but was subsequently denied. Since then, we've learned that the federal government wanted to obtain voter rolls from each of the 50 states, so they enforce only issuing ballots to "valid voters" - a list they control (and with zero independent watchdogs and/or oversight). In turn, this illegal regime has gone on to state that if the individuals states refuse to comply, that they would in turn, refuse issuing ballots to our service members, and the disabled (since this administration is attempting to render mail-in-voting illegal). Additionally, this Trump-regime disbanded the Federal Voting Assistance Commission, by firing and ejecting three-independent federal election commissioners. Lastly, the SAVE Act's true purpose, is to disenfranchise woman voters (due to changes in last name), and require eligible voters obtain a passport - in order to vote. As you're aware, passports are federal documents (they control), unlike driver's licenses - which are issued by individual states. If this law is subsequently and successfully codified into law, it would saddle eligible voters with a minimum of $65 (passport booklet), and upwards of $165 (for issuance of full passport books); notably, this does not include the potential upwards costs $5-$15 costs to procure/obtain and then procure to the passport office, a printed photo; nor does it account for the 4-8 week lead-time, required to receive one's passport.

These are not the only gambits used. In past years, we've seen:

• Priming/choreographing/framing/before-the-fact claims associated to "wide-spread fraud" within elections, in the form of purported voting fraud, and/or foreign interference in our elections.
• Louis DeJoy's dismantling and subsequent slow-down in USPS mail, by the unsanctioned decommissioning of multi-million dollar automated sorting equipment. This achieves delaying mail arrival. Also this year, the Trump-regime's weaponized DOJ has called for the prosecution of state election officials, governors; along with instructing the USPS to reject mail-in-ballot mail delivery and/or mandatory PII barcoding be affixed to the outside of mail-in-ballots, in this upcoming election.
• Fabricated "bomb threats" called into polling sites, within democratic blue state, strongholds.
• Going after the ballot boxes themselves, through a combination of tampering with the boxes and ballots contained within.
• Trump's forced demands for Republican congressional legislators to unanimously pass both "Antiweaponization of Government Act", as well as the "Save (America) Act". After Trump sickeningly referred to the J6 insurrectionists as "victims" and pardoned all offending participants (the same day, as his inauguration), he is subsequently demanding that each insurrectionist be compensated restitution, in the amount of roughly ~$1M each. He likely wants for this to pass, so he can utilize both the Proud Boys/MAGA vigilantes (while offering them additional follow-up pardons) and ICE/military to interfere with polling places, and ballot boxes - if not the straight up seizing of ballots, upon collection by election workers.
• Claims that vote-counting and results be made immediate, and/or false claims of "ballot stuffing". Even though the law permits votes to be counted, so long as they are post-marked by the date of election: this Trump-regime argues that there's not legitimate need for vote counting beyond when the polls close, abruptly, by 7PM on November 5th. Similarly, if the Trump-regime got their way, they would claim/demand that the only legitimate votes cast, be ones cast in-person, on election day only. Because of these fabricated claims, Trump contests that since vote counting took upwards of a few weeks for all results to roll in during California's elections last year - that constituted voting fraud.
• Trump has cloyingly/slyly suggested he be offered a "3rd" term presidency, due to his repeated and ongoing claims that the "2020 election was stolen from us" ("I", the royal "us). As you're already quite aware, even with the unfounded in precedent decision for SCOTUS to provide absolute blanket immunity for president's to engage in "official" acts: in 2020, Trump engaged in a systematic mis/dis-information campaign, subsequent lawsuits, and both the infamous Rathensperger and Zelensky phone calls - attempts to seize power and exploit/extort both state election officials, and foreign figures, alike. As a matter of fact, just this year - with the Trump administration's illegal excursions into Venezuela, they captured Nicholas Moduro, and following his capture - attempted to force/coerce him into stating that Venezuela interfered in the 2020 elections. These are clear patterns of abuse, with one undeniable and objective outcome - win at all costs.
• "My beautiful Christians... I'm not Christian: get out there and vote. If you vote this one time, you'll never need to vote again; we'll have everything so 'fixed', you'll never have to vote again [...] I don't need your vote."
• Trump to Pennsylvania: "Stop the count; stop counting votes!" (implying the continued and ongoing counting was illegal, and the only possible purpose for ongoing counting - were the counting of illegal votes from fraudulent voters/ballots.
• and many... many... many more.

Update: Blanche attempts to continue to convince Cornyn and Tillis that "there is no weaponization fund". But notice, while he went onto day to tee-up for his confirmation hearing tomorrow, that the original May 18th contract is not rescinded because it wasn't signed by all parties. This is just Todd Blanche - yet again, claiming, "trust me Bro... the $1.776B slush-fund has been killed... make no mistake about it." Problem is: he can just say that and have Trump pardon him, after he becomes the new confirmed Attorney General. This is an attempt to get Cornyn and Tillis to agree to the new agreed proposal... and I would call it just that - a proposal, at best. Shameful and deceitful... yet so on brand for this Trump-regime.

As yet another attempt to subvert the law (will of the People and consensus in congress), it's my opinion that Todd Blanche attempted to pull a fast one last night and get his confirmation and swearing-in, to move forward.

Todd produced some rather frivolous supposed addendums to the May 18th, and July 15th DOJ "anti-weaponization fund", but fails to fully rescind the past agreements, nor does it contain all parties signatures.

Nevertheless, Todd/Trump/DOJ are kicking this issue back to the two Republican congressional stand-outs that have refused to confirm Blanche. However, this is only because Trump had primary'ed out John Cornyn and Thom Tillis; it's not because they are necessarily protecting the interests of the American public.

Only time will tell if Todd Blanche's appointment of AG moves forward by means of either (or both) Republican congressional John Cornyn, and/or Thom Tillis considers this "enforceable", or "good enough".

In the meantime, Trump continues to pull his weekly Iran grift, rig our mid-term elections, and likely refuse to accept defeat in the upcoming 2026 mid-terms. Again, they are using absolutely every stratagem and strategy available to maintain the lock of the GOP majority in the house and senate. In no version of reality will Trump accept his defeat, nor leave office: not just out of fear of being prosecuted, but because he wants to be a king with absolute power, immunity, and to never leave office and continue his grift.

Trump's suggestion that someone submerged themselves into the reflecting pool, and drug a knife 300 feet across the bottom - is next level of deranged.

That's not to say that Trump, nor the rest of this administration didn't know exactly what they were doing, by going after innocent David Hearn, and attempting prosecution on the basis of Trumped up and fabricated charges.

Let this be a lesson to Trump. Not only will you lose these midterms, and the rest of your administration - but, get ready for a world of hurt. David Hearn sits as a clear example of the level of gaslighting the public, abuse of power, etc. that demonstrates a pattern of neglect and abuse of America and its people. I can only hope that there will be a quick was to dispatch Trump of his presidency, bring an end to this madness, and hopefully in time to save all of those about to lose their Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security next year - yet again, due to the unfound claims of "waste, fraud, and abuse" of these programs, whilst also beneficiaries being forced into an impossible situation of work 80 hours per month, or lose their entitlements.

I'll end with simply stating: Democrats, if you are given another chance, this will be your last. You must make an absolute example of these martyrs and the Trump regime, as soon as human(e)ly possible. Americans demand it, we demand it.

Oh... and what's absolute icing on the cake when it comes to this level of embezzlement and fraud, is Trump insisting that the Lincoln Memorial statues in DC, be ensconcing in 23.75-karat gold leaf..

Why? Three fold:

• To serve as a proverbial carrot (karat): painting these statues in 23.75 (nearly 24K) gold-leaf, will undoubtingly attract criminals to remove, melt down and sell the gold-leaf on the statues. When this happens, he'll decry: "see? I told you! This communists and radical Left thugs, hate America." How it will really work out: it will end up being another Republican that commits the crime, of course (similar to his supposed "attempted assassination" in Butler Pennsylvania).
• It offers Trump the chance to pretend to be, his hero, Putin."
• Send a message to the "peasants" (aka. everyday, hard working and financially hurting Americans): "I am king and can do whatever the fusk I want! That that, lib-tards! It's not like all my illegal actions are sending America into squalor. Unlike the social welfare programs, regulation, and taxation on the rich, which readily assist those in financial needs." (not an actual quote, but it's what I picture him telling himself, why this is somehow "good"). That's right: drive America, its economy and job market, into a further spiral; blindly fund fight an illegal and unprovoked war (by the regime engaging in foreign terrorism and war crimes), bankrupt America, and likewise obtain no-bid contracts on "defense" spending - while pocketing the "finder's fee", or a flat percentage; freely payable as a "donation", or "investment" into Trump Meme COIN (isn't it telling that Trump's crypto currency was released/announced literally - single-digit days - prior to him entering office? Was that an "official", or "unofficial" act? Hmmm... I wonder. I guess we'll never know.

Did you know that all current investments: hinge and rest on the success of AI/data centers? The rest on prisons, housing, the military-industrial complex (defense spending), utilities, rights to natural resources, insurance companies, the media, "big tech", and grocery stores? We literally, live in a time, where the rich have gotten so emboldened, to say the quiet parts out loud - in terms of how they gaslight, subject us to subterfuge, Epstein files, fight illegal wars, and rig elections (subvert the will of the People)? Did you know these same people, would like none other, than seeing the constitution ripped to shreds: our freedoms, our speech/voice, our social programs, our rights to own, our autonomy/rights/decisions, all be stripped from us? These Super Mega Corporate Ultra-Coorporate Conglomerates to control everything? And have regulatory compliance like FTC, national regulatory compliance/safety, and consumer protection organizations (like the FCPB) be bulldozed into rubble?

End-stage capitalism is like that. It's siphon up economics with zero competition (where the competition owns one another, price gouging, and mass inflation). Where the ultra-wealthy, likewise themselves, sense a dire future - economically - due to the death of consumerism. That is why, they benefit from foreclosures, bankruptcies, lack of competition, and the commoditization of everyday needs. Did you ever wonder why Trump, Elon Musk, Bezos - all of these figures, ever became interested in politics and desiring deeply to shift the Overton window - over this past decade (and the preceding 70 yeas) - to position themselves a close to the money-printing apparatus as possible? Did you know the only way money is created, is when our government chooses to print money, and spiral America into even more debt? Did you know money is dispersed into "the wild" through governmental programs/grants/contracts?

Once you know this... it starts to make a whole hell of a lot of sense, when you see the condition of America in reality, as opposed to its "condition" on paper (and through numbers). We are the richest country in the history of the world, yet the most financially and spiritually bankrupt, of all nations. That's not an accident. That's not a defect of the system... it's the main feature. We live in a world, where cruelty, injustice, narcissism, despotism, ultra-competitiveness, and indignation and lack of humanity is rewarded. The lower one goes, the higher one goes. The more one takes shortcuts, defrauds and creates existential financial pressures - the more they are rewarded.

Right now, the powers that be, but want technology addicted, isolated, separated, feeling hapless, helpless, alone, and genuinely fearful of one another. Constantly over-consuming - but never truly connecting. Why is that? Is this some grand conspiracy? Well, what I can tell you, is that we live in a version of the world, where our voice, actions, and movement - matter. As much as it's difficult to sense: each of us (through out behavior, actions, and voice) has an indelible effect on others. Surely, a single pebble in a vast pond/lake - still creates a ripple - albeit, a small one.

However, as soon as we koalesce, unite, and refuse to take the bait/distractions and no longer provide our "inferred consent"... that's what gets the attention of the state, and what they ingeniously label and identify as a existential "threat". The truth is the Overton Window (phenomenon), has shifted so vastly, undoubtably this past decade, that what used to appear as center/Right leaning, is now labeled "communism".

The very things, growing up in post-WWII America - we were warned about... Nazi sympathy, communism, fascism. There was a big crackdown in the 1990s with the "skinhead" movement. In the early 2000s, America engaged in an illegal war... ended up attacking Iran (in lieu of Iraq) - where supposedly Osama Bin Laden, was located. Normal life "ended" on 9/11/2001. Gone were the days of wide-eyed and bushy-tailed America... full of hope, life, and opportunity. It just so happened, that our government was engaged "military drills" of an identical nature to the terrorist attacks, that jet fuel didn't get as hot as thermite, and where World Trade Center 7... under Giuliani's orders, was rigged with explosives and experienced a controlled demolition - that very same day. What are the chances? What did the science community have to say about that day? What had occurred was physically, impossible, moreover - highly improbable. As Americans, asking any questions was tantamount to being "unpatriotic". Yet, all the same, this is how it went down, and the first tool in the tool-kit of weaponization of our government was created. Just like the failed "War on Drugs", the "War on Terror" began.

I'm not saying real domestic and foreign terrorism exists. What I am saying though, is just like the corporations - is our government ever lying to us? Why has it been determined "impossible" to raise the minimum wage, switch to 35-hour workweeks, or for us to pass universal/socialized healthcare? We're always told the same, worn-out, and broken story... about how the boogiemen will come out of the closet. And how: much like they'd like for us to be - they desire to have us dependent upon a broken system of their own making. Trump can claim/boast/flaunt that "we've pulled in 18T" in tarrifs - whilst completely ignoring the elephant in the room and saying "it's making our country rich!" However, one simple substitution is all that's necessary for a simple way to derive the actual subtextual truth, of any given situation with him. "The US has never been more successful than we are now! Anyone asking questions, is either: a terrorist, or unpatriotic" - sorts of philosophies. Trump, not arising from "a simple beginning", was borne into a life of decadence and privilege. Why then, do his supporters connect with him and believe he knows what it actually costs for eggs, or what it's like to be an everyday, hard-working American?" The answer... is he doesn't.

And as far as fool-proof and seamless translations with what he says: "I, the royal we... you know the editorial" (quote from The Big Lebowski). Replace "we", with "him/the rich". Same thing applies for the "One, Big, Beautiful Bill". I have never heard such a psy-opy name for a bill, quite like that before. This bill, literally gutted our entitlement programs, healthcare, infrastructure, and supposedly provided every American "a huge tax break". Except, it did none of those things. Just, as with his gambit/stratagem with Iran, and the narratives constantly oscillating and progressing with that: it provides zero, actual benefit, for everyday Americans. As a matter of fact, it actually does quite the opposite. That's why, they had to attach such vague adjectives, synonyms, and euphemisms to it. It's similar with the "SAVE (America) Act". The bill doesn't save America... actually quite the opposite. It's there for us to provide our "inferred consent" (by default, if it passes) and quiet strip away our freedoms, rights, and to subvert the will of the people. While I recognize, going on and on - in a soapbox about this - is probably not doing much good - considering if you're reading this, everything I am discussing is probably not revelatory in nature; regardless, I'm going to at least try.

We need to wake up the "asleep" Americans, that blindly support this man, or believe this upcoming mid-term election is not going to be one, ripe with fraud, intimidation tactics, and his rhetoric is not about disenfranchising the voter... it's about all of those things. It's also about stripping states of their autonomy and rights, through pure gaslighting, subterfuge, projection, and through the weaponization of government. I believe very few of us, ever thought that when we learned in grade school about the "balances of power" and boring history classes, that there would ever come a day, where we'd tell and value that education as deeply as we did, as Americans. It thought us about the constitution, about our rights, the roles and responsibilities of our governance, and also laid out our responsibilities as Americans - should ever a system fail.

And yet: they have us so dopamine hijacked to short-form media, separated by algorithms - in an endless sea of voices - competing for this attention/behavior-based economy, and isolated on the internet. If we simply let this moment wistfully pass us by, ignore the elephant in the room (or rather Humpty Dumpty), continue to take the bait/distraction (as independent media has), and relegate our voices to silence - as we sit back and awe - and hope someone will save us, come this mid-term cycle... or that the mid-terms won't be challenged by this regime: then we have another thing coming. Just ask Germany.

In the meantime, I will be performing by patriotic duty, as an American, to expose the lies, the corruption, and what they have planned/teed up for these mid-terms. There are 25+ abuses/gambits/strategies being used by this administration; and they are leaving absolutely no rock, unturned, in terms of obtaining the result they seek. If you don't know what I'm talking about... then clearly you haven't been paying attention. In terms of proof of that and the existential nature of the next three months, just look at the rhetoric and language being used. Trump has decried fraud, yet again, before even a single vote has been cast. Similarly to in 2016 - when he won - he claimed fraud, after he won. While this seemed nonsensical, at first, the firehose of falsehoods and priming/choreographing - as a process - only continued with him. He has fabricated, much like our broken systems: a toxic political environment, of nonsense and falsehoods, and lies on repeat. While many first chalked this up to "Trump being Trump" - it wasn't the defect, but the main underlying feature. Same thing's here. It doesn't matter how untrue we know his BS, to be, as much as this reflecting pool... all the same, the damage has been done. They want us scared, isolated, alone, and not working with one another, as patriots, to defend our constitution, the law, nor our rights.

I'll end this with simply saying: as it turns out, Shakespere was right, 1984 is a non-fiction book. Words, rhetoric and beliefs hold a power. There's a certain undeniable gravitas, to each of them - respectively. While I truly hope for the best and this rampant korruption and lies are exposed, it won't happen from this administration. Just look at what happened with the reflecting pool. That should offer you, something to reflect upon; nothing's certain. However, the sooner "we the People" coalesce, unite, and mount a resistance to expose the lies, the corruption and to reject their upcoming narrative, the better. Just look at last time Trump, or the GOP lost... we nearly lost our democracy. Back then, there were guard-rails in place. Today, we have an administration who has captured all, but: the constitution (social contract, though they whittle away at it, each and every day), misapply and perverse the law, weaponize the government (inherently from a stance where the people/resistance/lack of consent - is the enemy, and are incessant and insistent - on making us dependent upon the very system, they are so interested, in refashioning to their interests... and their interests alone. The rest is just there to distract us, get us caught up in the minutia, and busy infighting in "culture wars", left vs. right... while they move up. Trump was never here to liberate us from the swamp... he is the swamp and he brought it with him.

God bless America. I genuinely pray for all of those out there, that are deeply hurting in this current job and financial economy. Man was never meant to live alone, like this. We lost our sense of community... sure; but, let us not lose our democracy over this. While it's far from perfect, the way that people have showed up and showed out - just look at Mamdani, the blue wave... its clear that some Americans and MAGA supporters - nearly a decade later - are experiencing an awakening. I still get a kick, out of how the trolls, have literally villainized and demonized, "woke culure". All that woke culture, ever stood for, was letting people - be people; and to recognize that what makes us stronger - as a nation - is not our similarities, but our differences.

Let's be pro-people, pro-everyday Americans, and recognize the importance in focusing on this upcoming elections. You're not crazy if you feel like Americans fail to see it... unable to tell the trees, from the forest... because that's exactly what's been happening. I don't care how you vote... get out and vote. Voter suppression, disillusionment, and disenfranchisement - is all that the Trump-regime's purpose - has ever really been about; that and rewriting history, gaslighting the public, and making politics ever-so-toxic and divisive - that we become so sick of it... that we stop participating in this process, and more broadly - in public discourse. It's time to expose their lies, unique, use our unified voice, and show them - they're wrong. And remember: actions speak louder than words!

Over the course of the past decade, Trump has never once not told the American people exactly who he is. He has been parroting this narrative of wide-spread interference in elections since before he was even president, the 1st time around.

Now: just look back, at last time he was president and lost (in Nov 2020 in the lead-up and following January 6th). However, the main difference - at least back then - there were guard-rails (of sorts; certainly push-back) surrounding this thing.

There's a reason behind why SCOTUS's opinion supported a president with absolute unchecked authority. There's a reason why Trump commuted all of the J6ers, referred to them as hostages, and in recent days has been dangling a carrot of $1M - right out in front of them. Likewise, there's a reason why he is referring to socialists and leftist Demoocrats and any associated violence as "domestic terrorism": when the left, never once, has acted violently. If anything it's been the right that has shown up and demonstrated their willingness to resort to political violence.

Likewise, we've seen with both Trump and this current administration: if you offer an inch, they'll take 12 square miles. If anyone believed that we were in a constitutional crisis when this administration during his second-term, ignored the law, lower courts and even SCOTUS (on a few occasions, where they offered push-back): that was just the warm-up lap. The next four months are going to be the proving ground.

We worked too hard to develop the various freedoms afforded by democracy, to sit back and not offer up our voice. It's a price that's too big to pay and yet, we live in terrifying times, where the powers that be have decided to create an economic environment and disincentivized environment for proper pushback.

I like to continually remind people, that it was not an accident following the events of January 6th, that even corporate America recognized that his verbage and rhetoric on January 6th - was beyond problematic. And in terms of what followed: we witnessed a president gripping onto power, through any and all means necessary. This included Trump seeking kompromat on Hunter Biden, Trump installing Louis DeJoy to slow down mail, calling up Georgia state's Raffensperger, demanding/gaslighting - explicitly (not implicitly) - that Georgia's Secretary of State: find the "missing" votes - plus one, Giuliani's false slate of electors scheme, Trump directing his supporters to walk over to the capitol and "fight like hell", along with waging war on the legacy media. Per the latter, look at where that's gotten us today.

Americans have grown too comfortable (or not discomforted enough) with the idea that for all that our forefathers baked into the constitution to prepare us - and prevent this very exact situation from happening - that this very situation and the death of democracy is about to land on our doorstep. If we truly believe or expect others to solve this debacle for us, by the time it hits and we're entirely blind-sided and unprepared because the truth is "too uncomfortable" to talk about, or for one to not share and voice the undercurrent that we all sense - but are unwilling to steward, then perhaps: we're not deserving of the very same democracy that offers us all of our freedoms.

And lastly, this is not conspiracy, but: following the conclusion of WWII, FDR - the legend that was responsible for the rise of the middle-class and creation of social safety nets and entitlement programs, these programs and upwards of 95%+ taxation on the ultra-wealthy is exactly what was responsible for the rise of the middle class.

Right now, we're sitting on the precipice of the arrow leaving the bow. Once it leaves the bow, there will be no going back to the kind of freedoms that democracy endowed its society with. To be honest, in all likelihood, if democracy somehow survives this - the 'honor system' afforded by the checks and balances of power - and their associated freedoms - likely will never return. This is why Trump adored Mein Kampf, as much as he did. He recognized something that we all failed to recognize: the baked-in weaknesses of the democratic process.

Now, he plans on assailing on and subverting the will of the People. This isn't a defect, this is an absolute design feature. For the past 30-40 years, we've heard the propaganda arm, that once operated covertly and behind the scenes - silently, say the quiet parts out loud. In the lead-up to where we find ourselves now, we were promised - starting with Reagan - that trickle-down economics was absolutely a real process and thing. However, we truly don't live in a laissez-faire economic society, when we live in a capitalist system that completely devalues regulation and checks and balances, and likewise one where the ultra-wealthy billionaire class owns everything. Even they too, have said the quiet part out loud, when they said: "you will own nothing and be happy." The stock market should have experienced market-correction, long ago and following COVID-19's ravaging effects on our economy. And yet, it never came. Instead, just siphon-up economics, and a social-welfare/socialist state for capitalists, and absolutely zero - in return - for everyday hard working Americans.

I truly wish people understood that the Overton Window has gradually, but consistently shifted over, over this past decade. Abuse after abuse, in-bad-faith attempt after in-bad-faith-attempt, has been made. Just look at the legacy media state: after over a decade of attacks on the free-press and mainstream media and the ongoing and unchecked firehose of falsehoods, this Trump-regime has been successful in their ability to force "inferred consent" through intimidation and chilling effects, alone.

Even if we're presented with a clear and undeniable "blue tsunami wave", this administration is just going to predicate their illegal seizing of the 2020 election ballots as a means to create the exact kind of pretext they are seeking, to claim and unsubstantiated their claims of wide-spread voter fraud and foreign interference. It's not without a morbid sense of irony, that the documents released following Trump's speech on July 16th 2026, demonstrated/corroborated that Russia interfered in the 2016 elections, in a manner that worked to the advantage of Donald Trump. Likewise, it's no mystery Trump's undeniable connections to Russia: whether that be Trump Tower tenants, his lenders, his wives, or his 1980s beauty pageants. Mark Elias's Democracy Docket has been both exposing and defending against these abuses for years, and yet... regardless of what occurs within the courts, the sway/the court of public opinion - often matter to a much greater degree.

It's part of the inherent human-condition, that - as humans - we are pain-averse. We tend to avoid the very same issues, conversations, and self-examination that's necessary to transcend the problems we create, or enable. I genuinely fear that if Americans fail to start using their voice, recognize and expose the subtextual patterns of abuses, and call the abuses out right now - while in their choreographed, priming, and predicated stages: that we'll swiftly and silently lose our democracy, overnight. It won't go out in one last-big grand standing - with the public denouncing the abuses, but instead go out with a wimper and our "inferred consent" - all because we were too afraid to speak up and use our freedom of speech, as the last bastion that it is to raise public, societal and political attention and to engage actively in this discourse and the unfolding of absolute power and this authoritarian regime - not just throughout America, but by extension: throughout the remainder of western democracies, throughout the world. I'd rather we sense and identify this undercurrent (underkurrent) for what it is, rather than what we wistfully wished it wasn't. It's time to trust our gut, and offer up the courage necessary to help call out these abuses and defend democracy, for both the first and the final time. It can feel hopeless and helpless, but the voices of the majority - mean a very great deal, right now.

The time is now, the time is nigh! It's time that we all arise to this occasion; this is exactly the situation that our forefathers warned us about and did their absolute best to equip us for. However, we cannot simply accept the status quo and expect for things to change. Look at congress: nothing's getting done. We, the people, must arise to this occasion and form a koalition, kommunity, and movement - as we so desperately and disheartenedly seek change. We treat our social and political discourse, much in the same way we've treated our environment: with complete and utter lack of regard.
