The underkurrent was created as people-powered media platform (antithesis to social media, algorithms, divisiveness, division, chaos, and corporate greed - those functions as social media intended). Compounding this, we live in a 24/7 news cycle, where instead of overarching stories and subtext being explored, there's only an endless see of voices, and no manner of ways to come together. We're all about camaraderie, movement and empowerment of "we the People": demand for accountability/justice, elucidating truth, connecting the dots, in a "post-truth" (post-COVID/AI/democratic), gaslighting, disinformation and "alternative"-truth/narrative world. That must change. Kollective: we shall Koalesce, reclaim: truth, dignity, and humanity; we will accomplish this through Kontributions, Kuration, Koaltion, and grassroots movement.
