The guy is right, they require round the clock documentation and literally if you have 20% function that permits you only to work 20% of the time (8 hours per week)... that's still considered not disabled; it doesn't matter if next week you're completely not functional, or that 32 hours per month is not enough to live off of. Now imagine that same scenario and be expected to come up with ~$15,000 per year to tend to your disability through medicaid. Now imagine the case where the usual Republican shitbags claim you must work 80 hours per month, minimum in order to qualify for medicaid. Ok great, some can do that, others can't. Well guess what? Now that you make more than $1700, you are now disqualified for medicaid and now must cough up $15K per year between premiums and MooP+deductible included. This is the shit world we live in. Humans suck at nuance; and as of late, they are hugely suck in terms of a lack of dignity, humanity, sympathy, honesty, vulnerability and intelligence. "This new normal" brought to you by the biggest IRL troll in the existence of humanity and misanthrope and delusional sadistic narcissist in the history of the world. Yes, Republicans are literally inhumane monsters; they only care about serving the ultra-wealthy: who don't require more all consuming soul-sucking money through their siphon-up economic crony-capitalist Blackrock monopolies and making everyone suffer. Screw them and CItizen's United. We must get them out, through whatever means necessary. We already know they committed a coup last time they lost.
Who knows? We did hear Elon scream "Chainsaw to Democracy", while symbolizing it's destruction with a chainsaw while coked out on ketamine (yes kids, that's why people wear glasses in-doors. It's not to be cool, it's to hide the fact they're entirely blown out of their mind. This same guy meddled in the 2024 elections, bought up twitter and named it idiotic X.com, and subsequently 18 months tripled his net worth. True story; so ever-clear-to-see, yet no one cares.
Now for the sad reality... they have been saying the quiet parts out loud for years and the public is so indifferent, apathetic, blind, or sadistic to it to care. People only understand what affects them, otherwise all their opinions are shaped by the influence of others. Guess who can overwhelm and game this influence, kids? That's right... the corporations. This has been especially the case ever since Citizens United's precedence (or immaterial, lack thereof basis) that determined corporations deserve personhood too, but not any of the responsibility of paying taxes, nor following the laws. When you make a multi-person ran corporation, operate as it's own independent body-figure-head agency... who do you go after when they lie, cheat, poison, or steal? Answer: the corporation goes down, not the bad actors behind it. If, by chance they do after these bad-actors, it's all pay-to-win, play-to-win with stalling out investigations and trials for literal decades. Money buys slowdown, on an already massively taxed system.
I know 100 years from now, of we somehow make it out of this shithole situation, they will balk at the fact 90 years later, we repeated the same cycle as in WWII and this time switched places. They'll ask how it happened, with the post-WWII red-scare, and why did we decide to surrender all of our power and influence, all so the same corporations that sold and outsourced America in the mid-90s, can just turn around and blame it on China. Don't you get it? Their positions are always materialistic and focused on DARVO, flooding the zone, controlling the narrative, silencing and squashing descent, gutting any/all ways the government serves and supports its people, then fashioning this same system to use against the will of the people. It's that simple... yet so many never pick up on the overt pattern. Hell, as mentioned earlier, they admit to it out loud. When caught or called on it, they say they're joking, or blame the victim. Just look at what happened with Venezuela: claimed we were helping them, targeting narco terrorists, only for when this fascist regime fully seized our government to prime/choreograph and normalize this behavior enough for them to shortly after admit: "yeah, we were always here for the oil after all... it was never about the drugs." Begrudgingly, a vast majority of corporations/organizations also operate through similar means. This is where we come full-circle and underline this is why the rich are Republicans.
While this is surely an opinion piece, I will back it up with saying that this is just straight up fact and not even really opinion - but it's there for the disclaimer. Checkmate fascist GOP/MAGA! We can play that same game, too! We love loopholes!
