There are "meaningful uses" for artificial intelligence, The Atlantic's Josh Tyrangiel says. Tyrangiel, author of "A.I. The anger, politics around data center pushback
Politicians have been "incredibly late" to recognize people's anger over artificial intelligence and data centers, The Atlantic's Josh Tyrangiel says. “I don't think people believe that they are going to partake in the wealth that comes from data centers in their community,” he told Washington Week moderator Jeffrey Goldberg. Canada on 'strong political footing' in U.S. trade war
Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney "is on strong political footing," even after trade talks with the United States collapsed last week, Bloomberg's Josh Wingrove says. "The way the president speaks about this, he does not seem to treat this like it is an urgent concern," says Michelle Price of the Associated Press. What's the larger meaning of President Donald Trump's secret flight from Turkey last month? That was the question Washington Week with The Atlantic moderator Jeffrey Goldberg asked New York Times writer-at-large Elisabeth Bumiller about the revelation that Trump was moved from Air Force One to another plane as he departed the NATO summit amid a reported threat from Iran. The secret plan left White House staffers, members of the press corps and military officers aboard Air Force One. The civilians on the plane were unknowingly "potential sacrificial lambs," Bumiller said. "I would not have liked to have been on that plane and not been aware of the risk that I was taking," she added.
