Trump spent more than one in every four days of his presidency at his own golf properties, with taxpayer costs surpassing 101.2 million since January 2025. By March 2026, the total reached 144 million. This represents two-thirds of his entire first-term golf costs of 151.5 million, achieved in a fraction of the time. Mar-a-Lago visits cost 3.4 million each due to Coast Guard and waterway security. A single trip to Scotland cost 9.7 million, including promotion of his commercial golf course opening. The White House began labeling golf outings as executive time on his official schedule. Trump visited his own properties 198 times and golfed 116 times in his first year, directing government spending to his for-profit businesses while simultaneously running DOGE to cut federal spending. At the current pace, costs were projected to exceed 300 million by end of his term.
