Our Core Commitment: Truth

UnderKurrent permits members to share their thoughts and voice, grounded in factual opinions. Member expression -- whether factual reporting, commentary, or reasoned opinion grounded in sourced reality -- is the purpose of the platform, and is protected accordingly.

UnderKurrent exists to preserve and surface the truth -- a people-powered record of what actually happened, sourced and cross-referenced, resistant to the gaslighting, spin, and narrative-hijacking that has become so common in the world.

We only accept truth on this site. Not spin. Not deflection. Not "alternative facts." The timeline, the events, the posts, and the analyses are built on sourced reality. When you join UnderKurrent, you are joining that commitment.

What We Expect From You

• Be truthful. Share content you believe is accurate. Link sources when you can. Never knowingly post false or misleading information.
• Be honest about intent. Label opinion as opinion, news as news, and speculation as speculation. Do not present a claim as fact when it is your view.
• Be accountable. If you made a mistake, correct it. If a post is wrong, say so. The record only holds if we hold ourselves to it.
• Be respectful. Disagreement is welcome; harassment, hate, and personal attacks are not. Argue with the evidence, not the person.
• Be constructive. Contribute to the community in good faith. Ask questions. Surface subtext. Help sort the signal from the spin.

What We Will Not Accept

• Bad-faith participation. Joining the site to undermine it -- trolling, sealioning, concern-trolling, or using the platform to launder false narratives -- is a violation of this agreement.
• Deliberate misinformation. Knowingly posting, amplifying, or re-framing false claims.
• Gaslighting. Denying well-sourced reality, or attempting to make others doubt documented facts. This is the opposite of what we do here.
• Harassment, hate, and threats. Targeting any person or group with abuse, slurs, doxxing, or intimidation.
• Spam and manipulation. Coordinated inauthentic behavior, vote manipulation, sockpuppeting, or astroturfing.
• Illegal activity. Content that is unlawful or that facilitates harm.

Enforcement

UnderKurrent is a community of shared commitment, and we protect it. Violations are handled proportionately:

1. Warning -- first or minor offenses may result in a warning, and the offending content may be edited or removed.
2. Kick or suspension -- repeated or serious violations may result in removal from the community (a temporary suspension or permanent ban).
3. Ban -- deliberate bad-faith participation, gaslighting of the record, or attempts to undermine the community result in a ban, including from Konnect.

Bad faith is the line. Someone who disagrees with a conclusion but argues from evidence is a kontributor. Someone who denies the documented record, attacks the messenger, or works to undermine the community is a violation -- and that is the path to being banned.

The Record is Sacred

Everything on this site is anchored to sources. If you believe an event is misdescribed, share the evidence. If a source is wrong, show the contradiction. The timeline is enriched by genuine correction, not weakened by it.

If you are not a paid subscriber, please refrain from promoting your own content or projects. If you are a paid subscriber, we welcome you to share relevant links in the designated discussion spaces.

5. Respect Privacy
Do not share personal information of others.

6. Use Appropriate Language
Profanity and explicit content should be kept to a minimum.

7. No Illegal Activity
Do not discuss or promote illegal activities.

8. Follow Moderator Instructions
Moderators have the final say in enforcing these guidelines.

Violations may result in content removal, warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent banning depending on severity and frequency. We believe in second chances but not at the expense of community safety. If you see something that violates these guidelines, please use the report feature.
